Mandeer explores the gritty streets of Vancouver looking for an ideal place to geo-tag his business. Mandeer likes to track his bowel movements using the POOP THE WORLD iphone app. Home: www.pooptheworld.com Twitter twitter.com Facebook: bit.ly itunes: bit.ly Mandeer Bio: It was a cold September night in 1992 when Brian finished the late shift at AMMP (the Animal Mask Manufacturing Plant). The torn leather seats in his beige El Camino were a welcome retreat after standing in the assembly line for the last 7 hours. While tuning into his favorite talk radio station, Brian noticed a stew of menacing clouds and sheet lightning in the distance. There was a storm brewing, and it looked to be headed his way. Little did Brian know that fate, and extreme irony were about to cold-cock him in the face. As he made his way onto the highway, Brian had to work the steering wheel to counter the wind gusts poking at his car. He turned up the volume on his radio to listen in to the host describing the symptoms of chlamydia. Just then, a bolt of lightning hit Brian’s El Camino and sent it barreling into the ditch and thundering down the hill. Brian was thrown 385 feet and landed near a small pond. Lucky to be alive he was awoken the next morning by the tender sandpaper-like tongue of a young deer sucking his index finger and staring him in the eye. Startled and confused Brian crawled to the edge of the water to splash water on his face. When he looked down to the water though, he realized

Apple Unveils New Details Of Ipad Apps Before Its Launch

Posted: April 12th, 2010 | Author: admin | Filed under: App For Everyone | Tags: , , , , , , | No Comments »

Apple is going to release its much anticipated iPad tablet from April 3. The first batch of iPads is already sold out; therefore people will have to wait little bit if they pre-order the device now. At present, the device is not available in the market, but the company has released few videos to preview more details about the iPad’s “magical and revolutionary” capabilities.

Here, the feature discusses about the new capabilities of the device that would make it the device for next generation.

Keynote presentation app

Apple has introduced Keynote presentation capabilities in the iPad, which translates the presentation to a multi-touch interface. Users can change the position by tapping and holding a new slide to another new position. Further, users can select multiple slides for changes.

It is reported that the Keynote can access images stored in the iPad’s Photo app. Users can alter a photo, which includes resizing; adding a variety of borders and shadows; changing zoom, rotation, and opacity; and other edits. Consumers can upload existing Keynote presentations from their Macs or Windows PCs. Moreover, presentations can be displayed on iPad or a projector or TV with the help of optional $29 VGA adapter.

New iBooks, Safari, and Photos apps

One of the key applications of Apple in iPad is iBooks, which will challenge the position of Amazon’s Kindle in the eBook reader market. While iPad deliver texts and books in color, the Kindle offers monochrome e-paper. Further, iPad will offer options for backlighting. The company added that users can even change the font size and style with iBooks app and also access the iPad’s built-in dictionary service. Consumers can download e-books from Apple’s online iBookstore.

The company offers its Safari browser’s details like mail, photo, and video apps; YouTube access; and iPod and iTunes store capabilities. Also, the browser gets updated bookmark option.

In its Photos option, user can also add the pictures from iPhoto for the face-recognition technology. The pictures also carry geo-tagging capabilities; hence provide details about where they were shot. The company also announced optional iPad Camera Connection Kit to connect camera or SD card for data transfer.

Mail, iPod, Videos, YouTube, and iTunes apps

Users can access Mail app, which appear better than normal emailing system. By changing landscape or portrait modes, users can change the way of email viewing and their access. Users can review their deleting messages and also search their emails, the function which is absent in iPhone. For music, the iPad’s iPod app works as per expectations and also comes with “Genius Mixes” capability found in the Mac’s iTunes.

Further, the device’s new user interface helps the user to preview, buy and wirelessly download music or movies, TV shows, podcasts, music videos and audio-books. In addition, users can watch YouTube videos in portrait mode.

Pages and Numbers

To complete their official tasks, iPad offers Pages and Numbers software to business people. Pages is an application for word processor and page layout. It is part of Apple’s iWork productivity suite and runs on the Mac OS X operating system. Whereas, Numbers is a spreadsheet app like Microsoft’s Excel.

Getting An Ipad Apps – The Steps

Posted: April 10th, 2010 | Author: admin | Filed under: App For Everyone | Tags: , , , | No Comments »

If you are using an iPad Touch, and you’re wondering about getting an iPad Apps, you will need to download first ITunes” newest version. After upgrading the ITunes, you will see the applications’ icon and the “App Store” will also appear in the store (ITunes).

For users who want to download certain applications, you can click on the icon “App Store” then you have to click on ‘buy now’. Most of the apps are free like social networks (MySpace, Twitter, Facebook, etc.) as well as the virtual light saber and the AIM application. You can also get apps that are more practical like that of an application for foreign language lookups and taking notes.

If you are going to pay for the apps, it will not cost you more than 90 cents. Now that you’ve already downloaded the apps in your computer, you also need to update the iPad Touch’s firmware version. If you want to make such update, you will have to pay $9.99.

To do this, plug your iPad into the computer and click the ITunes icon. After that, click ‘update’. If you have the version 1.1.4, or it shows that you need an upgrade but a server trouble occurs, you will need to wait for several minutes. When there is an available firmware, you can already buy it using your Apple account.

The applications should be in-sync with your iPad Touch. This is like working with your videos, photos, and music whereon you can easily drag the apps from your Library to the icon found in the iPad. You can also set the option for ‘automatic sync’ in your iPad’s preferences. When all files are in sync, you can now have a fully functionally iPad with apps.

So you see, it’s not that hard to secure apps for the iPad. With a bit of knowledge and attention to details, you can download the needed apps in minutes. Getting an iPad application will only require you to invest a little amount of money (if you go for paid apps, or if you update the firmware version). Hurry and download your preferred applications and enjoy your music library anywhere.

*New*

I have done some research and dug up this new ipad offer for you. Be the first to try out the new ipad.

Ipad Apps: New Gold Rush For Developers?

Posted: April 9th, 2010 | Author: admin | Filed under: App For Everyone | Tags: , , , , | No Comments »

With the announcement of the iPad shipping April 3, 2010, Apple opened up a plethora of new possibilities for application developers. iPad Apps will undoubtedly see the same success that has been seen with the iPod Touch and iPhone. Many potential iPhone developers turned iPad developers are extremely excited about the many possibilities that will come from their original iPhone Apps and their soon-to-come iPad apps.

In all honesty, the iPad will create a new gold rush for application developers. There will be a lot of money that can be made from this new product, and in multiple ways. Those who work with iPad app development will see benefits in three major ways: Cross-Product Ability, Old Applications, and New Applications.

Cross Product Abilities

The iPad will have an interesting feature that will allow applications to be used on both the iPhone and the iPad. Applications that are created for the iPhone will be able to be bumped up to the iPad. This gives iPad app developers the ability to double the market that they may reach. They will design one game but will be able to have that game purchased for two separate pieces of technology.

Old Applications Should Work

The major gold rush that will come for current developers will come in the form of the applications that they have already created. Nearly all of the applications that have been created for the iPhone will be able to be used on the iPad. While no extra money will be made off of those who already own the application, money can be made off of iPad users who do not have the iPhone. Developers will not need to perform any more work on the applications that they have already created, but will be able to push them for an entirely new platform.

New Applications for the iPad

The biggest part of the application gold rush that will hit the iTunes store because of the iPad will be because of the newest capabilities of the iPad. To put it simply, the iPad is bigger. There are multiple developers who have axed ideas or halted application ideas because the screen of the iPhone was too small. They will now be able to attempt those applications for the iPad.

Application development teams will have the ability to do more with their applications. The big touch screen will allow for more to be placed on the screen at once. Applications can be more complicated, providing more information at once without having any visibility issues.

iPad app developers will see multiple benefits from the release of the iPad. The new product gives them something new and unique to explore as they reap the benefits from any old iPhone applications they may have created. If these developers use a mixture of both old applications and new applications, they can easily see more money than ever before through any iPad application development. Some new and exciting opportunties will arise for the likes of the restaraunt industry (think iPad menus) and the medical field (think of a doctor walking around with an iPad instead of a clipboard and a medical chart).

Jordan Ianelli has been an iPhone App Developer and an iPad App Developer ever since Apple announced the release of the SDK in 2008. Jordan is currently working with iPad App Developers for his first iPad app launch.
