Our office gave away a few Ipads as bonuses, and I purchased 2 cases for my coworkers and one for myself, and I waited until the cases arrived before using the iPad. I use the red elastic strap to bind the leather case together when not using it. The product is stylish and actually looks better than in the pic itself. You will love the red strap. The ipad holds well in this attractive case. I’ve looked at other brands, this one has the bang for the buck on price and quality.

Very happy with purchase. It was exactly what I was looking for. Looks like a prized journal. Was not willing to break my budget and was not willing to compromise on quality and style. The case is beautifully and minimally designed and the red strap is lovely and adds a touch of uniqueness. Four corner strap help to secure the ipad in place. The cover can be closed when ipad is not in use so the screen is protected and it can be bent back for more comfortable viewing when in use. Three sides of the ipad are exposed but doesn’t bother me as long as the screen is protected. Another plus: ipad can be charged with cover closed and without removing ipad.
